About Skills Jersey
Skills Jersey comprises of the Skills Executive, made up of the Ministers for Economic Development, Education, Sport and Culture and Social Security; and the Skills Jersey Board, comprised of employers and officers from States Departments.

It exists to ensure that training and further education programmes meet the needs of both employers and individuals in all sectors of industry.

Recent work of Skills Jersey includes:

  • researching the skills requirements of local employers to inform the development of future initiatives
  • assessing the viability of introducing additional degree programmes on Jersey
  • reviewing the Jersey Apprenticeship Scheme
  • introducing the Advance to Work Scheme
